We Were Featured in the News And It Means a Lot

April 21, 2026

When we started Hidden Honey Homes, the idea was simple.

We wanted to create a space where couples could reconnect away from the noise, the routines, and the distractions of everyday life.

Not just another vacation rental, but something intentional. Something that actually brings people closer together.

So seeing Hidden Honey Homes recently featured in Bangor Daily News was a pretty surreal moment for me.

Not just because of the exposure, but because it means the conversation we’ve been trying to start is getting bigger.

Why We Built This

I’ve always believed that relationships deserve attention.

Not just when things are going wrong, but especially when life gets busy and connection starts to slip quietly into the background.

Most getaways don’t really help with that.

You go somewhere new, sure, but you often bring the same habits, the same distractions, and the same patterns with you.

Hidden Honey Homes was built to change that.

Every detail, from the layout to the private themed spaces, is designed to help couples step out of autopilot and into something more present, more playful, and more connected.

Seeing It Recognized

In the article, they talk about our Ellsworth home and describe it as part of a growing trend in more experiential, connection-focused travel.

That’s exactly what we hoped to be part of.

We’re not trying to be shocking.

We’re not trying to be over-the-top.

We’re simply creating a space where couples can:

  • slow down
  • be intentional with each other
  • have fun in ways they might not make time for at home

Hearing that reflected back in a public way is incredibly validating.

The Bigger Picture

What excites me most isn’t just the feature itself, it’s what it represents.

People are starting to look at travel differently.

They’re not just asking “Where should we go?” but “How do we want to feel when we’re there?”

If we can be even a small part of helping couples reconnect, laugh more, and leave feeling closer than when they arrived, that’s everything.

If You’ve Been Curious…

If you’ve come across Hidden Honey Homes through the article, or you’ve been following us for a while and wondering what it’s all about, this is your invitation.

Come experience it for yourself.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t really about us being featured in the news.

It’s about what happens when you walk through the door.
