When we first started Hidden Honey Homes, we had one idea in mind: create a place where couples could escape their everyday routines and experience something different together.
Not just another beautiful vacation rental. Not just another weekend away.
Something that would make you excited to spend time together, try something new, and remember why you chose each other in the first place.
And as Hidden Honey Homes has grown, so has our vision.
Today, we want to share a little more about what we’re building, why it matters to us, and why we believe couples deserve more than an ordinary vacation.
Why We Believe Couples Need More Than Date Nights
Let’s face it. Life gets busy.
Between work, kids, responsibilities, and everything else that comes with building a life together, it’s easy for a relationship to fall into a routine.
You love each other. You enjoy being together. But somewhere along the way, excitement can take a back seat to everything else.
We’ve always believed that being in a long-term relationship shouldn’t mean the adventure is over.
In fact, we think it should be the opposite.
The longer you’re together, the more opportunities you have to discover new sides of each other.
Sometimes that means traveling somewhere new. Sometimes it means trying something you’ve never done before. And sometimes it simply means being alone together without a million distractions.
That’s why we created Hidden Honey Homes.
Not Your Typical Romantic Vacation Rental
There are plenty of beautiful places to stay. Gorgeous hotels, luxury resorts, charming cabins, and romantic vacation rentals.
But we wanted to create something a little different.
Our goal was to design adults-only retreats where the experience inside the home could be just as memorable as the destination outside.
Places where couples could enjoy privacy, beautiful surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and an atmosphere that encourages them to slow down and focus on each other.
And yes, we also wanted to make room for a little adventure.

St. Augustine has a special place in our hearts.
Between its historic charm, incredible restaurants, beautiful coastline, and year-round activities, it’s an amazing destination for couples.
Our two St. Augustine retreats offer distinctly different experiences.
Our Uptown location is designed around the feeling of a private spa retreat, while our Downtown Black House has a darker, bolder personality.
Spend the day exploring the nation’s oldest city, enjoying a great meal, or discovering something new together.
Then come back to a space designed for just the two of you.
Beech Mountain, North Carolina: Escape Into the Mountains
There’s something about the mountains that naturally makes you slow down.
Our Beech Mountain retreat gives couples the opportunity to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains, whether that means skiing during the winter, exploring the outdoors, or simply staying in and enjoying each other’s company.
Sometimes the best part of a romantic mountain getaway isn’t what you do outside.
It’s having nowhere else you need to be.
Ellsworth, Maine: Adventure Meets Intimacy
Maine brings a completely different energy to the Hidden Honey experience.
With Acadia National Park nearby, coastal scenery, charming towns, and endless opportunities for exploration, it’s a destination for couples who love combining adventure with relaxation.
Spend the day hiking, sightseeing, or enjoying the beauty of the Maine coast.
Then return to your own private retreat.

What Is Wild Monogamy?
If you’ve followed us on social media, you’ve probably heard us talk about something we call Wild Monogamy.
It’s a philosophy that’s become a big part of our lives and everything we’re creating.
For us, Wild Monogamy means believing that choosing one person doesn’t mean choosing the same experiences forever.
You can be in a loving, committed, monogamous relationship and still be adventurous, curious, playful, and open to discovering new things together.
It doesn’t mean you have to be extreme. It doesn’t mean you have to do anything outside your comfort zone.
And it certainly doesn’t mean you need to bring someone else into your relationship.
It means giving yourselves permission to keep exploring each other.
