Below are our personal recommendations for where to eat, drink, and explore. These are places we truly love and believe you will too. Please keep in mind that many local businesses, especially on Mount Desert Island, may be closed or operating with reduced hours during the off season, so we recommend checking each business’s website before making plans.
HHH Maine is perfectly situated between Mount Desert Island, Blue Hill, and the Schoodic Peninsula, making it an ideal home base for exploring the best of coastal Maine. During peak summer, when the island becomes more crowded, this location offers easy access to hidden hiking gems, quiet coastal adventures, and off-the-beaten-path experiences that many visitors never find.
P.S. A provisions reminder: We stock the house with paper products, hand soaps, shampoo, conditioner etc., as well as a bit of coffee to get you going. You may want to have groceries delivered upon arrival (through Shipt, Instacart, Walmart, etc.) to allow for more time to explore.

Designed for real couples.. not performers. Bella’s Slow Dancing Online Class is one of our favorite ways to help couples ease into connection during a Hidden Honey Homes stay.
With gentle guidance from Isabella and Andrei, this class is perfect for anyone with two left feet, a sense of humor, and a desire to stay close. There’s no pressure to get the steps right. The focus is on movement, touch, laughter, and being present with each other.
It’s an easy, intimate experience you can enjoy in the comfort of your stay.. a beautiful way to slow down, reconnect, and set the tone for the rest of your time together.

Old school tavern with hip, young, friendly bartenders. The tavern itself feels like you’ve walked into a 1960’s-esque all wooden speed-boat from Monaco. Great menu thats always being jazzed up, so it’s a culinary adventure each time we visit (their deviled eggs are exceptional). Awesome beer list and decent wines.
